Data Protection
Last updated 3 October 2026
This page sets out how listing.ng handles personal data under Nigerian law and how to reach the person responsible. Our Privacy Policy lists what we collect and why.
1. Who is responsible
Bolrach Technologies Limited runs listing.ng and is the data controller for the personal data it holds. Our Data Protection Officer is Alonge Adewale Sunday. Write to the Data Protection Officer at privacy@listing.ng.
2. The law we follow
We handle personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the rules of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). When someone in the European Union or the United Kingdom uses listing.ng, the GDPR applies as well, as our Privacy Policy explains.
3. Your rights
Anyone can ask us to:
- say whether we hold personal data about them, and give them a copy;
- correct details that are wrong or incomplete;
- delete their data where we have no lawful reason to keep it, such as an open Safe Buy dispute;
- stop or limit a particular use of their data;
- send their data to them, or to another service, in a common format;
- stop using their data where we relied on their consent.
4. Making a request
Email privacy@listing.ng from the address on the account and say what is wanted. We may ask the sender to confirm who they are before we act, so that nobody else can get at the data. A request costs nothing, and we answer as soon as we can and within the time the law allows.
5. Where your data is kept
Our servers and the companies that host listing.ng, store its photos and take its payments may keep data outside Nigeria. When personal data leaves Nigeria, we send it only where the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows and with the safeguards it requires.
6. If something goes wrong
If a breach of security puts personal data at risk, we report it to the NDPC within 72 hours of learning of it, and where it is likely to harm the people concerned, we tell them without delay and say what they can do.
7. Complaints
Anyone unhappy with how we handled their data should tell the Data Protection Officer first, and may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
